Who says fairytales don’t come true? Wendy Lee dreamt about her wedding ever since childhood. As crazy as it sounds, she actually began designing and creating her gown before meeting her husband!! After being together for 6 months, the question was popped and the planning for “I Do” began.

From the exotic appearance of orchids, to the luxurious fabrics for her wedding gown, to the exquisite detailing and modern interpretations of east meets west stationary, Wendy saw her own dreams become reality. In 1998 with the encouragement of her husband - she ventured out to showcase her wedding services and products to assist other couples attain their dream.

The discipline Wendy brings to her work and to her life was developed early by her parents, who like many Asian parents - demanded academic excellence and to never settle for less than perfection. Wendy holds two Bachelor and one Masters university level degrees. She also holds certificates through the Canadian Institute of Floral Design, Flowers Canada Ontario School of Floral Design and the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. She has taken several courses in clothing and textiles as well.

The inspiration for her custom products stemmed from her own wedding experience. Wendy aspired to add the blended touch of east and west to honor her heritage. Both cultures are steeped in tradition, rituals and symbolism when it comes to weddings. Many of Wendy’s clients are also seeking out special ways of incorporating their own cultural uniqueness into their momentous occasion.

Based in Toronto, Ontario - Wendy is the owner and wedding designer of Weddings By Wendy. Using her insight and expert knowledge of wedding planning, wedding day execution and most importantly – the details, this company provides professional event planning services for any type and size of wedding.
